Hello, lovely subscribers! I know it’s been a while since you’ve seen us knocking around your inboxes. But never fear, Season 2 is still happening. Just not yet*. And not on Substack. We’ve been thinking about this for a very long time, at least since this interview last April. Over the months, it’s become more and more clear that this platform does not share our values** and it’s time for us to go. We’ll start the process of migrating everything once we decide on a new home and we’ll let you all know where we land. We can’t wait to share the next season with you!
* I almost wrote a long post about the very real problems of trying to create art on a schedule, the pressures to share work that’s hurried, forced, not given enough time to marinate and what we lose when we do so, and just the plain difficulty of doing all of this as a collective whose two dozen-plus moving parts are all fully formed human beings each with lives and responsibilities, obligations, disasters of their own to coordinate, but we’re not posting here anymore so…
